I bring more than 25 years of experience in education, including school leadership, program development, and system-level change. My work has included leading significant enrollment growth, guiding a school through IB MYP authorization, developing one-to-one technology programs, and building teams that support thoughtful integration of technology across a school.
I enjoy working alongside schools as they navigate complex challenges, growth, and change. Often, they are building something new, changing direction, or working to move something forward.
This may include IB authorization, program design, strategic planning, or strengthening how philosophy shows up in everyday practice.
I help clarify direction, identify priorities, and break large initiatives into manageable next steps.
I have experience leading schools through meaningful change, including guiding a school from candidacy through International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme authorization while also serving as Head of School and MYP Coordinator. I have also led within a Montessori environment, directed district-level special programs and technology initiatives, and designed graduate-level coursework for educators.
IB Authorization Support
The IB authorization process can be meaningful work for a school. It encourages reflection, alignment, and clarity around what the school values and how those values show up in daily practice.
IB provides a strong framework and guidance throughout the process. My role is to help schools do the work between milestones, building structures that feel authentic to the school while aligned with IB expectations.
I have experience leading a school through the MYP authorization process from candidacy through verification, while also serving as Head of School and MYP Coordinator.
Areas of support may include:
- developing required policies in ways that reflect the culture and mission of the school
- helping leadership teams think through programme structure and implementation
- supporting coordinators as they navigate requirements and timelines
- working with teachers to build understanding of IB philosophy and practices
- facilitating conversations that help the community understand the purpose of the programme
- organizing documentation and evidence for verification visits
- breaking the process into manageable steps so progress can remain steady
IB authorization is not simply a checklist. It is a chance to slow down, think carefully about what matters, and build structures that support meaningful learning.
For schools that value in-person collaboration, I am available to travel and work alongside leadership teams and faculty during key phases of the process.
“Conversations with teachers and parents reflect the very high level of support and guidance that the head of school [Tracy] provides. Teachers discussed the head of school’s relentlessly supportive and positive style of school leadership. Through conversations and observations of interactions at the school, the head of school demonstrates exceptional leadership aligned with the philosophy of the programme.
Due to the small size of the school, the head of school also serves as the programme coordinator. Despite wearing multiple hats, the head of school exhibits an extraordinary level of dedication, presence, and responsiveness. Teachers expressed deep respect for the head of school’s leadership and guidance, highlighting the clarity, consistency, and inspiration provided in supporting programme implementation. This dual role has not diminished the quality of leadership; rather, it has enhanced the cohesiveness of the school community and strengthened the alignment between vision and practice.”
Broader Educational Consulting
Schools and educational organizations often reach moments when something needs to be clarified, strengthened, or reimagined.
Sometimes this involves program development. Sometimes it involves growth, restructuring, or aligning systems with mission. Sometimes the challenge is identifying what matters most and deciding what comes next.
I bring experience across multiple educational settings, including Montessori leadership, district-level program development, special education systems, instructional technology initiatives, and graduate-level course design for educators.
Areas of support may include:
Program development
Designing or refining academic programs so they are coherent, sustainable, and aligned with the goals of the organization.
Strategic planning
Helping leadership teams clarify priorities and create realistic paths forward.
Curriculum and instructional design
Strengthening alignment between philosophy, teaching practice, and student experience.
Specialized program leadership
Experience with special education systems, gifted services, and inclusive program design.
Technology integration
Supporting thoughtful use of technology in ways that strengthen learning and organizational effectiveness.
Organizational clarity
Helping schools identify what is working, what needs attention, and where to focus energy.
This work often involves listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and helping identify practical next steps that move the work forward.
How I Work
Most projects begin with a conversation.
We talk about what you are working on, what feels unclear, and what you hope to move forward.
From there, we identify priorities and define next steps that feel manageable and realistic.
I enjoy working collaboratively. Working with a team often produces the best results. The goal is to identify what will work best for your school, then design a process made up of manageable steps with the end goal in mind.
My role is not to impose a particular model, but to help you build something that fits your context and supports your goals.
Work together typically includes:
- open and straightforward communication
- honest feedback and thoughtful questions
- flexibility as the work evolves
- attention to both the big picture and the practical details
- steady progress toward clearly defined next steps
Complex work becomes more manageable when it is broken into pieces that can be addressed one at a time.
The goal is to ensure the work is shaped by the people who are part of it, while also creating clarity, building momentum, and keeping it moving forward.
Let’s Work Together
If you are working through a challenge, developing a program, or planning next steps, and would like some help, I would love to learn more about your school and the goals you have.
We can begin with a conversation about your goals, your timeline, and what kind of support would be most useful.
